Konidala Kalyan Babu alias Pawan Kalyan was born on 2nd September, 1971 in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh. As per the information submitted to Election Commission recently , Pawan Kalyan born on September 2nd, 1968. He is younger brother of Tollywood’s Megastar Chiranjeevi. Just like his brother, Pawan Kalyan too entered film industry at a very young age. He started his film journey in 1996 with the film “Akkada Amayi Ikkada Abbayi”. Akkineni Family’s heir Supriya acted in the role of female lead in this film.



His film career was a bit slow in the initial days but he got the best breakthrough in the form of “Tholi Prema”. This youthful entertainer which was released in 1998 blasted the box office turning Pawan Kalyan into a top star in Tollywood. Later on, he delivered series of blockbusters like “Thammudu”, “Badri”, “Kushi”, “Jalsa”, “Gabbar Singh” and the latest “Attarintiki Daredi”. These hits made Pawan Kalyan the No.1 star in Tollywood. In fact, he created records and he crossed his own records with his films. He is A1 star in the hearts of youngsters and his style is followed by majority of the youth.


Pawan Kalyan is quite experimental and practical in nature. The experimental nature of Pawan Kalyan made his career go into side track after “Kushi”. He faced series of defeats in Tollywood, but he moved ahead with his experimental ventures like “Jhonny”. This made him the trend setter in Tollywood film industry.

Pawan Kalyan is one of the first heroes in Tollywood to enter the film industry with lots of advanced skills. He holds black belt in Karate and he is into martial arts. His sword fighting skills and the Karate skills helped him to be a prominent action hero in Tollywood.


Pawan Kalyan was married to Nandini in 1997 but this marriage didn’t last long. They went for divorce and Pawan married Renu Desai in 2009. This pair was blessed with a son and a daughter. Later on, Pawan and Renu decided to go ahead in their own ways and Pawan came into politics while Renu Desai started her own production house.

Even though Pawan Kalyan chose film career by default, he aspired to be a leader right from his childhood. This made Pawan Kalyan enter politics in 2014 with “Jana Sena” party. He didn’t participate in 2014 elections but he helped TDP and BJP alliance to win in Andhra Pradesh apart from getting opposition status in Telengana. Pawan Kalyan got the appreciation of Narendra Modi. There is a buzz in the media that Pawan has been invited to be an Indian leader by Narendra Modi. Even TDP offered Pawan the best place in it cadre. In 2019, Pawan Kalyan is sure of entering into politics with his own party “Jana Sena”.


For the next few years, Pawan Kalyan is planning to continue with films and later on move ahead with social service in the form of “Jana Sena” party. His future film projects includes “Gopala Gopala” and “Gabbar Singh 2”. After achieving industry’s top record with “Attarintiki Daredi”, Pawan Kalyan decided to go for a multistarrer and a sequel flick of his previous blockbuster. After these ventures, we may expect Pawan to step into politics.
